This system includes two LED lights and a combination solar panel and battery pack. The lights are connected by two roughly 6 foot cables, and the system and connections are water resistant and seem pretty waterproof if the panel is facing up in the rain.
The rear of the panel has an on/off button, and this button engages and disengages the charging circuit from the battery. Press the button once and the lights flash and turn off. Then you may use the remote control.
The lights cannot be used at all unless the solar panel is in complete darkness. So if you want to use it in a dark shed during the day, take the solar power pack into the shed with you and lay it upside down on a table.
Do not attempt to run the lights while they are shining on the solar panel. They will flash on and off continuously and the charge circuit engages and disengages due to the light. If you carry the system in at night, be sure to lay the solar panel down on its face.
The remote has settings for on, off, and 3, 5, and 8hr timers. It also has settings for 25%, 50% and 100% brightness. The light is a slightly warm white color. Each light functions independently with the remote, and all the functions are independent light to light. The remote should be held fairly close to the bulb. It takes a standard 2032 button cell, and it does come with one that is protected by a plastic tab when it arrives.
If this system is used correctly and you understand the limitations, it works flawlessly and should be reliable for years.
Please do not leave the remote outside, it is not waterproof.
